The company has their further plans to enhance their AI and Machine Learning abilities for their existing products.

“In 2011, the average ratio of online hotels bookings in India was less than six percent of total average hotel bookings, today it’s hovering around the average of 26 – 35 percent and we expect this to grow about 60 percent by 2020,” says Anil Kumar Prasanna, CEO, AxisRooms in a conversation with BW Hotelier.  He feels that revenue management will not just remain on the room pricing or supply and demand, hotels needs to work on optimization and efficiency in energy management, procurement, and technology costs.

AxisRooms is a hotel tech platform, with an idea to innovate and assist hotel partners to manage their business, distribution and revenue optimization through technology. “The first idea of establishing a distribution product came across to us, when we were part of the OTA contracting business we always had the difficulty to manage inventory, though most of the OTA customer side was online but the whole back end process were human intensive & manual fulfilment including calling hotels, emails for confirmations,” told Prasanna.

Speaking about the benefits of AxisRooms, Prasanna explained, “Our platform is business enabler, and due to our advanced technology integrations with many OTA’s. Our hotel partners have increased their business from minimal 10 percent to 300 percent maximum just using our platforms. We have catered to a small B2B to the large five star hotels.” Few of the company’s hotel partners are Orange Country Resorts, CGH Earth Hotels, Sterling Resorts, Leisure Hotels, Keys Hotels, Oyo Rooms, FabHotels, Treebo Hotels, KSTDC Hotels, Abad Hotels, Verda Hotels and we have small B&B like Granny’s Inn in Varanasi, Organic Villa in Kandy, Sri Lanka etc. “We are a premium supply partner for Booking.com, Expedia & Go-MMT etc. We are the earliest partners for Airbnb,” he added.

The company has their further plans to enhance their  AI and Machine Learning abilities for their existing products. “We would like to be market leaders in Asia for the space we are in. We have been leading in India and also have good traction in Bhutan, UAE, and Thailand & Sri Lanka,”Prasanna  said. Five years down the line, AxisRooms expects to be the innovators for the technology verticals in hospitality industry and also have more than 20K hotel partners in Asian Region.
